Dr Rob Commons is an Infectious Diseases Physician at Royal Darwin Hospital and a PhD student at the Menzies School of Health Research, Charles Darwin University in Australia. Rob’s PhD is being undertaken in collaboration with WWARN and is supervised by Prof Ric Price the Head of the WWARN Clinical Group, as well as Prof Julie Simpson and Dr Kamala Thriemer. His PhD focuses on the risks and benefits of primaquine radical cure for Plasmodium vivax and has included the creation of new WWARN Study Groups focused on P. vivax.
