Together with MORU and the wider scrub typhus community, we aim to pool and make available individual participant data (IPD) from all available studies to address knowledge gaps and improve treatment outcomes for people affected by this disease.
About scrub typhus

Scrub typhus is a bacterial disease spread by mites. It is most commonly found in the area bordered by East Russia and North Japan in the northeast, Afghanistan in the west, and North Australia in the south. Around a billion people are at risk of this disease but despite this, it is largely understudied.

Our research

Researchers have assessed and mapped available scrub typhus treatment studies to lay the groundwork to establish an IPD platform to harmonise the available statistical data to addresses knowledge gaps.
