Teeradet Khomvarn joined WWARN Asia Regional Centre in September 2015 to take over the processing of specimens for DNA extraction using a semi-automated medium-high throughput methods. Through this activity, he is involved in surveillance studies aimed at monitoring the emergence or spread of drug resistant malaria across the Greater Mekong sub-region and elsewhere. He recently graduated with a MSc. in Medical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand and has previously worked as a Research Medical Technologist for the Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences (AFRIMS) in Thailand.
