Elizabeth Allen joined WWARN in late 2017 as a Scientific Coordinator for the Clinical Pharmacology Group. The focus of her work is optimising data sharing for IPD safety analyses, and coordination of the WWARN Toolkit. Elizabeth is a pharmacist with an MPH and a PhD clinical pharmacology who has worked in clinical research since 1995, initially within the pharmaceutical and contract research industries in the UK and South Africa, thereafter managing clinical research studies at investigator sites in South Africa and Mozambique. Elizabeth currently heads clinical research operations for the University of Cape Town Collaborating Centre for Optimising Antimalarial Therapy. She is also coordinator of The Global Health Network’s Global Pharmacovigilance and the South African Faculty Lead for Global Health Trials.
