Sulaiman has a medical background and has recently completed his masters programme in International Health and Tropical Medicine at the University of Oxford. Sulaiman was privileged to serve as the medical director for the Wellbody/Partners In Health clinic, and also as the clinical lead for the holding centre at the Ola During Children Hospital (ODCH), the biggest Paediatric hospital in Sierra Leone during the Ebola outbreak in 2014.

Sulaiman is a certified trainer for both national epilepsy and nutrition programmes and has been involved in the training of all the cadre of health workers throughout Sierra Leone in the management of patients with epilepsy and children with acute malnutrition.
