BIOGRAPHY

I am a statistician with a PhD from Ghent University and hold a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from Hasselt University, both in Belgium. Over the past years, my research has focused on malaria and neglected tropical diseases, with an emphasis on the design and analysis of clinical and epidemiological studies. My work has also contributed to the development of the target product profiles for new diagnostics, informing the World Health Organization policy for strongyloidiasis control programs. I have extensive experience in clinical and epidemiological data management, statistical modelling and inference for infectious diseases, microsimulation, and the development of sampling framework to support evidence-based control strategies regarding survey design, particularly for soil-transmitted helminths.

I am joining IDDO as a Senior Postdoctoral Research Scientist, with research focusing on malaria chemoprevention and analysis of epidemiological and clinical data to support evidence-based prevention strategies.
