Fabiana Barreira joined DNDi in July 2014 as Clinical Trial Manager of Chagas disease. Since April 2015, she is the Senior Clinical Manager for Chagas, responsible for leading the disease clinical area in DNDi Latin America.

Fabiana is a medical doctor, with residency in Ob-Gyn at the State University of Rio de Janeiro and a fellowship in Infectious Disease at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She holds an MBA in Project Management, from Fundação Getulio Vargas followed by a training in Clinical Research, at Harvard University, where she acted as a Teaching Assistant for the last three years, and Pharmacoeconomics, at the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcome Research.

Fabiana was a professor of Obstetrics for five years and has more than 12 years of experience in clinical research and drug development, most of them in pharmaceutical and biotech companies, leading international projects across several therapeutic domains and regions. She is fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish and French.
