Sabine Specht is a Head of Filarial Disease at DNDi. She leads on new treatments development throughout all their clinical phases testing.  Prior to DNDi she worked as a Senior Researcher at University of Zurich and University of Bonn, Germany before in microbiology, immunology and pre-clinical models’ development.

Dr Sabine Specht has 20 years’ expertise of host-parasite interactions in filarial diseases with strong translational acumen of clinical trials set-up in endemic countries.  She is a member for several editorial boards for parasitology journals and a board member of the German Society for Parasitology (DGP).
