Juan Carlos is a clinical epidemiologist with a background in internal medicine and preventive cardiology. Over the last 15 years, Juan Carlos has been working and collaborating in clinical trials and systematic reviews, as well as teaching research methods and evidence-based medicine. Having grown up in an endemic area, Juan Carlos has kept a lifelong interest in Chagas disease. Juan Carlos is currently working on a few trials in Chagas disease, a field in need of generating, sharing and using good quality data to advance the clinical care of populations at risk of developing this neglected form of dilated cardiomyopathy.
