Clinical Data Sharing Platform

IDDO is collaborating with the International Severe Acute Respiratory and emerging Infections Consortium (ISARIC) to aggregate, standardise and share COVID-19 clinical data from around the globe. IDDO is providing the data-sharing framework for secure, governed access to data collected by ISARIC partners. The IDDO framework enables the upload, anonymisation, and curation of disparate data types and sources. All data are collated and inventoried so that researchers can request access to data for new analyses that address knowledge gaps and accelerate the response to COVID-19.

IDDO is registered as a re3data.org repository.

CDISC Taskforce

IDDO is part of the task force established by CDISC to rapidly develop a Therapeutic Area User Guide to standardise clinical data on COVID-19. This document details how data fields specific to COVID-19 will be incorporated into the CDISC standards. It will serve as a guide for all clinical research and data collection to enable integration and improve quality. The guide will be made freely available on the CDISC website.

Living systematic review

IDDO is working on a living systematic review to provide an open, accessible and frequently updated resource summarising details of COVID-19 clinical trial registrations globally.

Clinical Research Coalition

IDDO is part of the facilitating committee of the global Clinical Research Coalition formed to accelerate the urgent research on prevention, diagnosis needed to address COVID-19 in resource-limited settings.

Medicine Quality

IDDO’s Medicine Quality Group is monitoring and analysing information pertaining to the quality and availability of medicines and equipment during the response. Its global tool to track news reports of substandard and falsified medical products including equipment (e.g. masks) in real-time is now live and includes reports on COVID-19.

Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network

IDDO is a member of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN).
