Training in accurate GPS capture for malaria case investigations

Accurate GPS (global positioning system) coordinates for malaria cases is fundamental for malaria case investigation and surveillance, and this data can also be collected during malaria trials.

Access our suite of training materials—originally developed for the Smart Surveillance for Malaria Elimination (SS4ME) project—to help surveillance case investigators apply good practice in case investigation with GPS devices.

The training is delivered in three parts: an initial classroom-based theory session, a supervised field practical, and a final session focused on visualising the coordinates collected, followed by discussion and feedback.
